About

Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is a local Iraqi Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was founded in 2014. 9 years ago we began providing assistance to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), returnees, and vulnerable host communities affected by the conflict with the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Since then, AGO has expanded its operations into several governorates in Iraq and is currently partnering with various national and international donors and organizations to extend humanitarian services for vulnerable people in need. AGO's work focuses on durable solutions, livelihood sustainability, social cohesion, protection, good governance, agriculture, and climate action. Our aim? To create a future where all communities are resilient, empowered, green, equal, and peaceful.
Vision & Mission

We envision a society where individuals and groups are empowered to participate in decision-making processes, where resources are used sustainably and responsibly to protect the environment, where everyone has equal access to basic needs and services, and where conflict is resolved peacefully. We strive to work towards this vision through collective action, advocacy, and partnerships with communities and organizations worldwide.
Our mission is to work towards the creation of resilient, empowered, green, equal, and peaceful communities. We seek to achieve this by empowering individuals and communities to participate in decision-making processes, advocating for policies that support sustainable and responsible use of resources, promoting equal access to basic needs and services, and promoting peaceful conflict resolution. Through collaboration with local and national organizations, we strive to build networks of support and action to achieve our vision of a better future for all .
