 And to conclude a dialogue project, within the framework of People’s Voice: Environments First” in Salah Al-Din, where the Aid Gate organization, in cooperation with the District Commissioner of Al-Shirqat district, held a community activity to enhance the role of society in climate change, as (thuya) trees were planted in the main street inside the district, and from  It is known that Tuya is among the evergreen trees, and it can withstand harsh weather conditions, between a temperature rise to 40 degrees Celsius.

 This activity is part of the “Hiwar” project implemented by the (Jisir to) organization in partnership with the United Nations Development Program in coordination with the Iraqi government and funded by the European Union Mission in Iraq.

To ensure the ease of receiving cash to the beneficiaries and the freedom to receive it in terms of place, time, and speed, the Aid Gate organization AGO, funded by the Iraq Humanitarian Fund IHF and under the supervision of the International Action Against Hunger Organization ACF, in Salah al-Din Governorate, Tooz District, and Anbar Governorate, Ramadi District, Within the multi -purpose cash Assistant project MPCA, contracted with Zain Telecom Company, Through the company mentioned above, electronic wallets were opened for the beneficiaries to transfer cash grants to each beneficiary to his personal wallet.

Celebrating the completion of the vocational training project in Telafar district for 200 trainees, male and female from Telafar youth, for the project to support recovery and stability through local development, in the presence of the Mayor of Telafar District, representatives of the Vocational Training Center, representatives of local authorities in Telafar and the coordinator of the emergency livelihood sub-cluster in Mosul, which was the project implemented by AGO with its partner UN-Habitat in cooperation with the Vocational Training Center of Mosul, this project was funded by the UNDP and the EU, through which graduation certificates were delivered with graduation kits. During the celebration, opportunities were discussed Future recruitment at the level of the district and urging local authorities to contribute to encouraging the working bodies and the private sector to recruit the graduates

Therefore, Aid Gate Organization, in partnership with (UN-Habitat) and funded by  (UNDP) and the European Union EU, implemented a project Revenue generation competence building for government employees by training 10 government employees from different departments in Erbil City, on Microsoft Excel and its uses for its important role in data management and facilitate accounting, which will positively affect the workflow in the city.

The second largest city in Iraq after Baghdad in terms of population and area, Nineveh supports it and contributed to the development of the administrative reality after the recent events and the war it fought, which drained a lot of energy and capabilities. The participation of the Aid Gate Organization for Economic Development in (TADAMON) program implemented by UNDP, for 4 days in Erbil Governorate. The NGO Empowerment Program for Poverty Reduction supported by the Islamic Development Bank and the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development implemented by the UNDP in partnership with the Central Bank of Iraq and the two NGOs departments in Baghdad and the Kurdistan  Region‏ .

Within the generation project specializing in capacity building for government employees funded by the European Union in Iraq and the UNDP Iraq, AGO in partnership with the UN-HABITAT developed the skills of 10 government employees from different departments in Dohuk governorate by training them on the Microsoft Excel program 5 days, 30 hours of actual training to develop the skills of working Staff In government institutions and for its important role in facilitating administrative and accounting operations, which will lead to smooth workflow and speed of implementation.

As part of the project “Voice of people: Our environment First” , Aid gate organization (AGO) conducted a round table discussion titled “ The environmental impact on Social cohesion, economic and agricultural sectors in Salah Al-din ” with a group of governmental bodies and local authorities to enhance the role of community in protecting the environment in collaboration with civil society and local authorities This activity is part of HIWAR project which implemented by Un Ponte Per organization in cooperation with UNDP Iraq and coordination with Iraqi government Funded by European Union in Iraq

Aid Gate Organization(AGO) launched a multi-purpose Cash assistance (MPCA) project in Tuz Khurmatu and Ramadi districts in Salah al-Din and Anbar governorates, in partnership with Action Against Hunger (ACF)and with support and funding from the Iraq Humanitarian Fund (IHF). The project initiated by the registration of marginalized and most affected households in the targeted areas to secure their households members basic needs.

Aid Gate Organization team and the Mayors of Tuz Khurmatu and Ramadi in Salah al-Din and Anbar governorates discussed cooperation to start implementing a multi-purpose cash assistance program in partnership with Action Against Hunger – Middle East funded by Iraq Humanitarian Fund. The two parties agreed to facilitate the implementation of the project to reach the most vulnerable families in both areas. The local authorities also commended the role of civil society organizations for the efforts made in reviving and sustaining the community economy among members of society.

Part of the activities of “Supporting Iraq’s recovery and stability through local development” funded by the European Union in Iraq implemented in partnership between
the UN-HABITAT, UNDP Iraq , and Aid_GateOrganization.
The Vocational Training center provided training on solar energy to groups of beneficiaries in the Tal Afar area of Nineveh Governorate. The Trainees started their on-job training with practical work by installing and structuring the panels fastening them to their bases and programming them to provide the neighborhood and small businesses with electricity. To change their way of life while helping vulnerable families increase their incomes, revitalize the private sector and the labor market in general, and provide clean and green energy that will be an asset to these areas , as well as social cohesion between community members.
AGO used theoretical and practical approaches with beneficiaries which aimed to build their skills and help rebuild Tal Afar District and the Nineveh Governorate.

Aid Gate Organization and the Mayor’s office of Talafer represented by the representative of the organizations, Mr. Ismail Aslan, held a meeting with employers and business owners in order to connect the trainees who were trained by the Aid Gate Organization on several specialties and integrate them into the labor market, to rehabilitate and build the capacities of young people in the District. By enabling some families and small and medium enterprises to access financial services and develop their ability to improve income, revive the private sector and the labor market, enhance social cohesion, change the lives of vulnerable families, and contribute to the reconstruction of Nineveh Governorate and Talafer District.

Aid Gate Organization(AGO) held meetings with members of the Agriculture extension department and farmers in the districts of Sinjar, Tal Afar, and Hawija in order to conduct a questionnaire on agriculture and farmers’ needs, to strengthen the agriculture recovery, development, and increasing economic recovery and supporting the agriculture and livestock sector.
AGO contributes in its work to achieve economic recovery for small agricultural and commercial businesses, and to change the lives of vulnerable families in these areas by empowering farmers and small and medium agricultural institutions and developing their ability to improve income generating and enhance social cohesion to restore community relations and contribute to restoring stability in Iraq.

The team coordinated at the highest levels in order to implement the engineering assessment, which in turn will help determine the mechanisms followed and the municipal needs that will be supported through the implementation of the cash for work activities, which will contribute to helping the returnees and the most affected people by providing quick income.

Aid Gate Organization (AGO), in partnership with COOPI and in cooperation with the Department of Labor and Social Affairs (DOLSA) / the Vocational Training Department, funded by Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS), is implementing an initiative for the social and economic reintegration of the most vulnerable returnees in Shirqat, Salah al-Din through life & vocational skills training and social cohesion.
During the training, the trainees will receive more than 200 hours of training and a documented certificate from the Department of Labor and Social Affairs(DOLSA), which will help the trainees obtain the skills that will help them start their small projects, secure livelihoods for themselves and their families, and contribute to the advancement of society, and improve the economic and social conditions of the trainees that strengthen the Shirqat community as a whole.
In partnership with Expertise France in Iraq , AGO’s field team conducted a rapid market assessment in Tel Afar district, Nineveh Governorate with a focus on projects headed by women to advocate for female-owned enterprises.
Through this assessment, AGO can better learn how to engage women in project activities, including grants support and business development. These activities will encouraged and empower youth and women to become more self-reliant in developing their work as well as contributing to economic stability within their community.
The assessment was part of the YANHAD project in partnership with Expertise France in Iraq supported and funded by European Union in Iraq .
AGO met with community leaders in Tuz Khurmatu to discuss our project in partnership with IHF “Rebuilding Livelihoods for the Most Vulnerable Returnees and IDPs Living in Informal and Urban Settlements through Short-Term Employment and Business Restoration” in Salah al-Din.
This project will support 188 beneficiaries through Cash-for-Work programs and provide 20 small business grants for the local community in order to contribute to economic growth.
Seen in our photos, AGO field staff are hanging banners to announce the project as well as setting up boxes to receive paper applications from community members in need of work or business support.
In Tal Afar, a 42-year-old woman heads a family of two children and lives in a rented house.The physical disability she suffers has negatively affected her ability to support her family. The woman participated in the sewing training provided by Aid Gate Organization in Tal Afar. Now she has the ability to work as a tailor, help her family and face the burdens of life.
This project is part of the YANHAD program implemented by Expertise France in Iraq in cooperation with the AGO and funded by the CDCS and EU .
 

 

 

Under the umbrella of the program “Supporting Iraq’s recovery and stability through local development” funded by the European Union in Iraq and implemented in partnership between the UN-Habitat Program and the United Nations Development Program UNDP in preparation for the start of the project Which targets 400 beneficiaries of both genders in the governorates of Salah al-Din and Nineveh to train them on building their vocational skills, in cooperation with the Vocational Training Department, the Aid Gate team has prepared tools, training materials and all needed facilities for the vocational training workshops
